CLI, code rules, architecture patterns

CLI

kette init and kette add create rules, project profile and ADR template, kette doctor checks the setup. It never deploys.

Code rules

Eight topics with do and don't: readability, structure with KISS, DRY, YAGNI and SOLID, errors, tests, security, dependencies, logging, changes.

Check agent

kette-check checks code against the code rules, in the plugin kette-engineering-core.

Architecture patterns

Seven patterns with “fits when” and “does not fit when”, from modular monolith to multi-tenancy. An ADR records the choice.

UI laws, interaction, WCAG

Topics

Gestalt, hierarchy, typography, spacing, colour and contrast, interaction and WCAG 2.2 AA.

How you use them

With Community as the free Claude Code plugin ui-gesetze, with Enterprise in design-review-pack. Claude Code applies the rules when building interfaces.

Stack profiles and CI checks

Stack profiles

For Next.js with TypeScript and Tailwind, NestJS with Prisma or Mongoose, FastAPI and Expo. Each profile sets core libraries, structure, mandatory rules, checks and tests.

Platform templates

For GitHub and Docker, others after their own reference project: CI with tests and browser test, Dockerfiles, Compose, deploy with approval and rollback.

CI checks

Strict TypeScript, ESLint, module boundaries via dependency-cruiser and gitleaks against secrets. You set up server and infrastructure yourself.

132 UX/UI review rules

What they are

80 rules on the interaction concept, 32 based on ISO 9241-110 and 20 UI laws, 52 of them with do and don't.

Who applies them

The review roles, above all the design-reviewer, check interfaces against them and back every finding with evidence.

26 agents, 18 skills, code-reviewer

Agents and skills

Roles for infrastructure and independent reviews: QA, accessibility, Material, design review, security and performance.

code-reviewer

Checks changes against core rules, architecture patterns and project profile. Every finding comes with a code location and goes to the responsible role.

What you get.

  1. Templates, no blank repo

Stack profiles for Next.js, NestJS, FastAPI and Expo. CI, Docker and deploy with rollback as GitHub templates.

  2. Checks without busywork

TypeScript, ESLint, module boundaries and secrets scan run automatically. The code-reviewer routes findings.

  3. Agents included

26 agents and 18 skills for infrastructure and reviews, plus the design system docs. npm packages and Figma are coming as an update by 30 Nov 2026.

How to unlock it.

  1. Buy

With Solo or Team. You get your licence key by email.

    One-time, 12 months of updates.

  2. Sign in

kette login <key> checks the key, downloads the Enterprise package with all agents and sets up the plugins.

  3. Get going

kette init my-project, in an existing repo kette add. kette update fetches later versions.

Installation details

Questions.

GitHub and Docker on your own server, proven on a reference project.

No. It creates files, adds the PATH entry and sets up the plugins.

The new machine takes a device slot. Support frees the old one.

The agents do not. They are built for Claude Code.

Platform details

Reference project with green CI, images, browser test and design, UX and code review. More platforms will follow, each only after its own reference project.

What changes

Never cloud actions, never deploys. With --dry-run you see everything first.

Everything that changes

Device details

kette logout removes the licence key and the Enterprise package, the device stays registered with the licence. If you back up ~/.kette/device-id and restore it on the same machine, a reinstall does not use a new device slot.

Checks in your pipeline

Without Claude Code, the CI template's checks still run: lint, types, module boundaries, secrets scan. kette doctor --ci checks the setup and exits with an error code if anything is open.
